For those of you who have been following and reading my blog, you will have seen that I am all about the “mdn shift” recently. It’s a thing I have been talking about since I started writing. The mdn is the word for the middle, and the “shift” is the word for the change of direction.

This is why you’ll feel tired, ache and pain even after you’ve been sleeping for a few days. It’s also why you’ll feel a little bit more fatigued and weaker than you were when you went to sleep.

Weight shifts are more than just being tired, they are also a symptom of muscle atrophy. Muscle atrophy is a condition where your muscles gradually get thinner and weaker. This is why your arms and neck will ache after a couple weeks of sleeping.
